John Matthews FCA Non-executive Director, Chairman of the Audit Committee, Chairman of the Remuneration Committee and a member of the Nominations Committee (aged 65)
Worked in the corporate finance department of NM Rothschild before joining County NatWest which he was with for 20 years, latterly as Managing Director. In 1988 he became Deputy Chief Executive of Beazer plc leaving prior to its acquisition in 1991. He was then with Indosuez Capital Ltd until 1994 when he left to concentrate on a portfolio of non-executive appointments including at Crest Nicholson plc where he was non-executive director from 1992, becoming Chairman from 1996 until the company's acquisition in April 2007. He was also a director of Center Parcs (UK) Group plc from 2003 until it was sold in 2006. He is currently Chairman of Regus Group plc, and a non-executive director of Rotork plc, SDL plc and Diploma plc.

Daniel Kitchen BSc FCCA Non-executive Director, member of the Nominations Committee, member of the Audit Committee and a member of the Remuneration Committee (aged 58)
Appointed to the Board on May 2010, Daniel was previously Deputy Chief Executive of Heron International plc, one of Europe's leading property investment and development companies. Prior to that appointment, Daniel was Finance Director of Green Property plc for eight years. He is currently non-executive Chairman of Irish Nationwide Building Society, is a non-executive director of Kingspan Group plc and of LXB Retail Properties plc and is a member of the Irish Takeover Panel.

Martin Pexton BA MBA Non-executive Director, member of the Nominations Committee, member of the Audit Committee and a member of the Remuneration Committee (aged 53)
Appointed to the Board of Minerva in March 2010, Martin was previously Managing Director of LMS Capital PLC, a listed private equity company investing in energy, technology and real estate in the UK and US, where he was responsible for the day-to-day management of the company. He was also a non-executive director of a number of the company's key portfolio businesses.
Before joining LMS Capital, Martin spent five years as Executive Director of London Merchant Securities PLC, the FTSE 250 real estate and private equity company (now Derwent London plc), where he played a major role in floating the private equity business in 2006 and led the reverse takeover of Inflexion plc, joining its board following the takeover. Previous to that appointment he held senior positions at the global law firm Allen & Overy.

Appointed to the Board of Minerva in July 2006. Chief Executive of Alfred McAlpine from May 1993 to August 2003 and from then until June 2007 was Chairman of Alfred McAlpine. Between March 2004 and February 2005 he was non-executive Chairman of ITNET plc. Formerly Group Chief Executive of Babcock International Group plc, having previously been an executive Director of AMEC plc and John Laing plc.
