Appointment of Non-Executive Director

The Board of Minerva Plc ("Minerva" or the "Company") is pleased to announce the appointment of Martin Pexton as a non-executive director with effect from 6 April 2010. This appointment comes following Minerva's successful refinancing in September 2009 and the Board's announcement of its intention to supplement its non-executive director membership in Minerva's latest Annual Report and Accounts.

Martin was previously Managing Director of LMS Capital PLC, a listed private equity company investing in energy, technology and real estate in the UK and US, where he was responsible for the day-to-day management of the company and was a non-executive director of a number of the company's key portfolio businesses. 

Before joining LMS Capital, Martin spent five years as Executive Director of London Merchant Securities PLC, the FTSE 250 real estate and private equity company (now Derwent London plc), where he played a major role in floating the private equity business in 2006 and led the reverse takeover of Inflexion plc, joining its board following the takeover.  Previous to that appointment he held senior positions at the global law firm Allen & Overy.

There are no further details required to be disclosed pursuant to Listing Rule 9.6.13 in connection with Martin Pexton's appointment.
